Model for " BILLI" cat breed of India ?

Monday(31/7/2023):- Today morning on the last day of the rainiest month of July in Mumbai's history on my way to buy milk/ bread came across our last resident building cat " MANGO" relaxing on a car happy that it's not raining.His companions " Champa" and " Scrapper" have crossed the Rainbow Bridge and he prowls around the entire building garden estate like a " BIG CAT". Clicked a photo with " Mango" for life is unpredictable for both animals and us humans and who knows when we might meet again.After the demise of my last pet " Tomcat Matata(2009- 2022)" , strangely, I now have free living non human companions with the crow " Tahatsu" visiting my kitchen since last 4 years almost the same time that " Mango" appeared in our building compound and was accepted by the then two building resident cats" Champa" and " Scrapper".Change is permanent.

Observing these intelligent Indie stray cats it time to have " Indie Billy cat" .

Sunday(12/6/2022)Chief mouser of iconic " CITY BAKERY" :- Had been to Opera House to see the play " Sherlock Homi" and while returning home at night stopped at Worli to purchase bread from landmark " City Bakery". Was greeted by the hilarious sight of the chief mouser fast asleep inside the Bakery on one of the shelves.She is either lactating or due to give birth ..There were two cats which I saw during my occasional morning visits to the Bakery and these cats keep a track of the mice menace faced by this Bakery.

Lucky to sight "Champa" our building cat while on my daily swimming agenda.This cute cat of our building that literally prowls around our large building estate and garden like a miniature " Big Cat". Got candid photo's of her this morning sitting on the top of a car.Our building has one of the best private gardens in the locality, a botanists treasure house.."Flying Foxes", Koels, squirrels are a common sight among the building tree.

ONLY "cat owners" UNDERSTAND THE PLEASURE OF OWNING CATS AND ITS THERAPEUTIC EFFECT.

Tuesday(25-11-2014) :- "LIVING WITH CATS AT HOME SAVES MONEY ON VISITING A CAT CAFE" ! Watching a repeat telecast of the "A.M.A ( American Music Awards)" at home while cats Matata and Matahari do what they excel in and hence well known. Sleeping on the couch.

"Kittens" have to be "REGISTERED" with a recognised "CAT CLUB". In India this is not possible, hence all "BRED IN INDIA" cats are "UNRECOGNISED" and not considered "PEDIGREE CATS".They can't be entered in a cat show in any country if a person imports a cat from India.

A "Cat Show" would help all cat owners to mingle, discuss cats as well as have the satisfaction of owning one of the best cats in town if a winner.

"Pedigree Cats" bred in India are not recognised by any "INTERNATIONAL CAT SOCIETY" as they don't have "PEDIGREE CERTIFICATES" issued by a recognised "Cat Registry Club" like "TICA".Its not too late to start a "CAT CLUB" in Mumbai or any Indian city affiliated to "TICA".

"Matata" doesn't have "Pedigree Certificates" although bred by me at home, a wonderful specimen of the "Traditional Persian cat" breed.All cats bred in India , irrespective of their "Pedigree looks" are ineligible for "International Cat Show" competitions since India doesn't have a "Internationally recognised cat club".

I purchased matahari as a kitten for Rs14,000, astronomical prices for "NON-PEDIGREE CERTIFICATE" kittens.Akin to me , all cat owners in India should realize that their cats are just pets.Lets start a "Pedigree cat Club" at the earliast.

Would tomcat "Matata" have won a "Cat Show " competition in the "Kitten Class"?

Hope a "Internationall recognised cat club" is formed in Mumbai during my life-time.

My late dad with "I.N.K.C" prize winning dachshund "Lucky" in the 1980's.

She won numerous prizes at the "Indian (I.N.K.C)" dog shows in Mumbai.Its the thrill of the "Dog Shows" that makes dog ownership such an engrossing hobby and passion. Same will be the interest in "CAT SHOWS" once organised in Mumbai or any other Indian city.

"BEWARE OF CATS AT HOME":- Cats as guards!

MODERN PET GUARDS- CATS ? :- "BEWARE OF CATS" ! Tomcat Matata making himself cosy in my drawer.Whenever i open any drawer the cats quickly love to enter the drawer and sit quietly.Queen cat Matahari invented this behaviour which was immediately copied by tomcat matata once he matured from kittenhood to tomcat.Notice the "Dog Show Prizes" in the showcase(Red Coloured small plaques) won by my dachshund "Lucky(1984-1995) at Dog Shows in Mumbai.WHEN WILL MUMBAI HAVE ITS FIRST OFFICIALLY REGISTERED CAT CLUB AND CAT SHOWS.
